Project 52, take two (1/52)
I think that project 52 has really helped my photography skills, and I love having a weekly portrait of the girl, so I’m starting again!
Here is the first portrait of 2014

It was really cold this week, thus the ruddy cheeks. I’m not sure we will get out of the house this coming week. It’s supposed to be crazy cold!! We will see.
Happy New Year!
We are very thankful for a healthy 2013, and that Our New Years Eve celebration was at home instead of the ER (like last year). The girl wanted to stay up until midnight, so we gave it a try. Lots of fun with Legos and blocks!
We enjoyed Hot Chocolate and some of the countdown in New York ( though it is NOT family friendly). We decided to celebrate the countdown with the East Coast (changing the clock) just in case we struggled with the last hour!

The last hour was tough (though the Chicago countdown was more reasonable for families). The girl fell asleep at 11:55…and was not happy that we woke her up for the countdown!
This morning we woke to snow and decided to start the year with a tubing trip! It was fun, but cold!!!
We are looking forward to a great 2014, and hope this is a terrific new year for you and yours!!!

The Christmas Gift
Mommy! I got science for Christmas!!!
The field microscope is a big hit (I can’t lie, I’m thrilled!) Aunt A finds the coolest gifts!
We explored everything with the microscope:

I saw a green bug. I think it’s a grasshopper
I’m not sure she could actually see anything like this:
Can you believe we found a pansy in December?
With this experiment, we have confirmed that the girl’s dad is superman!
I guess x-Ray vision is hereditary!
