Unexpected Time

Growing up in the South, snow meant a free day for everyone! We got to stay home and play! I’ve missed snow days. When you live in a part of the world equipped with snow plows and salt, life doesn’t stop for a little snow. We have had one snow day in 14 years at Wheaton, and that took a storm that dumped close to 2 ft in one night. It happened to be the girl’s second birthday!!!

The public schools have snow days, but mostly they have “cold” days. We had 2 this week, and because my classes haven’t started I got to enjoy them! We have snow, but it’s -20 to -30 with the windchill, so we did not take advantage of the snow. Instead, the girl and I spent some unexpected time together indoors! It was wonderful. She played the piano (a lot)…

  1. Oh! We had a test scheduled for that day (the magical snow day) in Parasitology!! You threatened that you could walk to school. I’m glad we all played that day, instead! 😀 Love the pictures, as always!
